I am sharing a real scenario that I have faced during implementation:
During planned order generation by Item coverage, "Order and Delivery" Dates were coming different than the current system date. Like it was showing next year date. So I have done a small change and everything got fixed.
Solution: Go to you Master plan > Go to future Messages section > In Planned purchase order section just uncheck "Use future date as requirement date" check box.
